Media Sales Manager Certification
In order to become a Local Media Association Certified Media Sales Manager you must “test in” by passing a series of tests that are required for the “basic” and “advanced” certification programs at an 90% passing grade or better.
To be an effective leader and Local Media Association Certified Sales Manager it is critical that you are able to lead by example and have knowledge in these key areas that your sales representatives are expected to know: Answering Objections, Closing, Competitive Media, Consultative Sales, Convergence, Demographics and Fundamental Marketing, Mechanics and Terminology for Print and Online, Mobile Advertising, Needs Assessment Skills, Negotiating Skills, Presentation Skills, Product Knowledge, Questioning and Listening Skills, Online Advertising (Display, video, SEM, SEO and Social Media), SWOT Analysis, Territory Management, and of course Sales Management Skills.
In addition to knowing the core competencies of what media sales representatives are responsible for knowing it is the expectation as a Certified Media Sales Manager that you also understand fundamental management skills of:
- Accountability & Tracking - learn to get the best performance from your team through increased accountability and tracking of behaviors that create the results you need for success.
