The Monday Campaigns Offers Free Monday Concepts and Materials to Help Your Readers Stay Healthy
Who/What:
The Monday Campaigns, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending chronic preventable diseases by sustaining healthy behaviors.
- Founded in 2005 in association with Johns Hopkins, Columbia and Syracuse Universities to apply marketing best practices to public health challenges.
- Uses the larger concept of Healthy Monday to address a variety of health and wellness issues, including:
- Nutrition
- Physical activity
- Tobacco cessation
- Overall wellness
- Helps organizations incorporate the Monday concept into their own health promotions. Every Monday, organizations and individuals join together to commit to the healthy behaviors that can help end preventable chronic diseases.
Why Monday:
It’s the January of the week, the perfect time for a fresh start. People are more likely to begin exercising, start a diet or quit smoking on Monday than any other day. It’s a call to action built into every calendar – offering 52 chances a year to live a longer, healthier life!
