SNA's most popular contest of the year includes thousands of entries from members across North America. This contest recognizes editorial excellence in six different circulation classes that separates dailies from non-dailies. The Suburban Journalist of the Year award is decided in conjunction with this contest.
The SNA 2010 Editorial Contest
Eligibility
SNA members and non-members. Each company or newspaper may submit an unlimited number of entries within each category, as long as the entries are submitted in the proper circulation class in which they qualify.
Entry Fee
Member: $28/entry
Non-Member: $56/entry
Entry Deadline
Entries must be postmarked by October 22, 2010.
Contest Period
Entries may be submitted only if published in your newspaper(s) between September 1, 2009 – August 31, 2010.
Categories
There are a total of 36 categories to enter; plus the prestigious Journalist of the Year and Editor of the Year awards.
Circulation
- Class A: Up to 8,000 (non-daily)
- Class B: 8,001-16,000 (non-daily)
- Class C: 16,001-36,000 (non-daily)
- Class D: Over 36,000 (non-daily)
- Class E: Under 25,000 (daily)
- Class F: Over 25,000 (daily)
