This contest recognizes excellence in the field of advertising and marketing. Members compete in their circulation classes and a special award is presented to both the Advertising Director of the Year and the Classified Manager of the Year. Awards are presented at Local Media Association's Fall Publishers' and Advertising Directors' Conference.

AND THE BIG WINNERS ARE …
Metroland Media Group Ltd. led all companies with an impressive 46 awards - Congratulations! They were followed by Black Press with 31 awards, Antelope Valley Newspapers, Inc. with 23 awards and The World Company with 18 awards.
For weekly newspapers, Mississauga News led the way with 14 awards. Abbottsford News followed closely with 13 awards. Rounding out the top weekly winners are Shore Publishing Newspapers with 12 awards, The Independent & Free Press and Herald Community Newspapers with 6 awards each.
For individual daily newspapers, the Antelope Valley Press led the competition with an impressive 23 awards. The Hamilton Spectator took home 11 awards and Lawrence Journal-World walks away with 8 awards. Arizona Daily Star and Steamboat Pilot & Today were each honored with 6 awards.
